Who We Are

Children's Media Consultants is a consortium of working children's media professionals who are passionate and successful in their individual fields.  Our consultants have had leadership roles at the top children’s media networks, production houses, not-for-profit organizations, and global media companies.  We're plugged in to kid's media and dedicated to making content that makes a difference in children's lives.  While some hired guns out there have made an app or had a successful stint at a media company, we are the collective intelligence -- award winning professionals who combine areas of expertise to provide you with the full perspective.  We unite production with research, and design savvy with general management know-how.  We get it because we've been there.

The Executive Team

Our executive team is led by Ashley Fenwick-Naditch, Managing Director.  As Managing Director, Ashley is responsible for day-to-day leadership of business, strategic and creative operations for Children's Media Consultants and its clients.

Ashley is an Emmy Award winning children's media executive specialized in content development and strategy.  She currently serves as Managing Director of Children's Media Consultants (CMC), where she drives the company's overall strategy, P&L, and business operations.  Ashley works closely with CMC's clients on their corporate development, industry insight, and consulting needs.  In 2007, she developed and presented to executive teams at Sesame Workshop, the non-profit organization behind Sesame Street and other hit children's multi-media properties, a brand-new business model for the company, in which Sesame Street would incorporate environmentally-friendly values across each content platform.  Many of those ideas came into fruition for the show's groundbreaking 40th season.

As a result, she joined the Workshop full time to oversee the development and production of new and existing children's programming and content, including Abby's Flying Fairy School, a transmedia 3D animated property on broadcast and broadband, Sesame Street Family Connections, the bilingual social network for families, and Pinky Dinky Doo season 2, which featured the company's first user-generated podcast creator.  She produced games, interactive episodes, and innovative broadband content for the Emmy Award winning The Electric Company and the Emmy, Webby, and Peabody Award winning Sesame Street.

Prior to going in-house at Sesame Workshop, Ashley held roles at XO Group (formerly The Knot Inc) and AOL where she developed partnerships and managed business operations, marketing, editorial, and content programming.

Ashley currently serves as a Director on the Board of Women in Children's Media, a non-profit organization of professionals who are committed to creating and distributin thoughtful, entertaining media to children and young adults.  She served as the Board's President from 2008 - 2010.

Ashley holds an M.A. from New York University in children's educational television and graduated from Columbia University cum laude, with a B.A. in film studies.  In 2010, Ashley was named on Digital Media Wire's list of "25 Digital Entertainment Executives to Watch" and she won an Emmy Award for her work on Sesame Workshop's The Electric Company.
